Learning Engineer · Technical Learning & Development

I design learning systems for technical ideas.

I combine learning engineering, instructional design, and a technical background to structure adaptive, competency-based learning experiences for STEM and technology-focused environments.

My production work was created inside a proprietary adaptive-learning environment. These case studies focus on the decisions, structures, assessment design, and quality processes I owned—without exposing client materials.

01 / CASE STUDY

Adaptive STEM Curriculum Transformation

Large-scale adaptive curriculum development across STEM subjects, with a primary focus on Computing and technical learning.

The challenge

Transform structured STEM curriculum into adaptive-ready learning while preserving curriculum coverage, measurable objectives, competency alignment, and assessment quality.

My contribution

  • Built atomic, Bloom-aligned learning-objective structures.
  • Mapped related objectives to broader competencies.
  • Designed aligned probes, plausible distractors, and interactive assessment elements.
  • Reviewed and corrected AI-assisted draft structures before SME review.
  • Completed fix-up and learner-perspective testing before handoff.

Selected computing challenge

One major Computing assignment contained more than 200 learning objectives across foundational Python and computing concepts, requiring extensive review of LO quality, curriculum coverage, probe alignment, and technical accuracy.

Original production materials and client identifiers are intentionally not reproduced.

Adaptive Learning for Higher Education

Bilingual, interactive learning experiences developed from faculty-led university content across technical and nontechnical domains.

Higher EducationArabic + EnglishAdaptive

Higher-education learning

Converted faculty-provided syllabi, textbooks, presentations, and course materials into adaptive learning experiences across technical and nontechnical subjects in Arabic and English.

My contribution

  • Analyzed faculty source materials and created LO hierarchies.
  • Developed competency mappings, probes, slideshows, and interactive learning elements.
  • Applied institution-specific typography, color, and presentation requirements.
  • Tested content across desktop, tablet, and mobile simulations.
  • Participated in peer review, fix-up, client feedback, and course integration.

Institution names and proprietary academic materials are intentionally withheld.

03 / SELECTED WORK

Corporate & Public-Sector Learning

Employee onboarding and organizational learning shaped from stakeholder materials, requirements, and client feedback.

Corporate & public-sector learning

Contributed to employee onboarding and confidential public-sector learning initiatives built from stakeholder presentations, PDFs, organizational resources, and requirements.

Workflow

Source analysis → learning objectives → competencies → instructional content → probes → review → testing.

Projects commonly began with a demonstration module, followed by client review, revision, and broader development after approval.

Client and organization names are intentionally withheld.

About

I work at the intersection of learning and technology.

My background in Computer Information Systems led me into technical instruction and then into a nine-month corporate role as a Learning Engineer, where I developed adaptive learning experiences in a production environment and built hands-on experience with learning-objective architecture, competency mapping, assessment design, remediation, testing, and AI-assisted content workflows.

That experience shaped how I approach instructional design from both sides: how people learn, and how technical concepts need to be structured so learners can actually reason about them. My work also spans adaptive STEM development, bilingual higher-education learning, technical instruction, and application development.
